St. George's - Hauptstadt von Grenada

St. Georges, capital of Grenada
St. Georges, capital of Grenada

St. George's, Grenada's capital city, is considered the most picturesque in the Caribbean and is divided by a central ridge which separates the Bay Town overlooking the outer harbour from the Carenage, or inner harbour, ant the lagoon - a quit body of water just south of the Carenage. Fort George was built by the French in 1706 to protect the harbour and the town.
St. George's is a beautiful city, with its houses rising in tiers up the surrounding hillsides, giving the expression of a vast amphitheatre.
